Chilli Con Carne

Chilli con carne is a favourite mexican and spanish dish. Its preparation is pretty easy as it is cooked in one pot, but that hour of cooking takes it all. Satisfaction to time spent by cooking will be lapped plates of your closest.

Recipe

1. Garlic, onion

onion 7 oz (200 g)  garlic 0.75 oz (20 g)  sunflower oil 3.25 tbsp (50 ml)

Peel the onion and garlic, chop it and for a while saute in oil.

2. Minced meat

minced pork meat 1.1 lb (500 g)

Add minced meat and fry until split into the small pieces.

3. Prep of vegetable

paprika 3.5 oz (100 g)  tomatoes 7 oz (200 g)  sterilized pepperoni 3 pcs

Meanwhile the meat is frying, prepare the vegetable. Trim the pepper and cut into the strips. Pour hot water over the tomatoes and pull down the skin, cut into the half moon slices. Finely chop the chillies. Mentioned quantity makes the meal adequate hot, add more chillies if you want to have it hotter.

4. Red ground paprika

ground red paprika 2 tsp

Add ground red paprika into the fried meat, blend and add other ingredients.

5. Tomato puree

tomato paste 2.1 cup (500 ml)

Pour in tomato puree, blend well.

6. Vegetable

Add pepper, tomatoes and chillies, blend.

7. Spices

salt 2 tsp  sugar granulated 1 tbsp  ground black pepper 1 tsp  basil 1 tsp  bay leaf 3 pcs

Add salt, sugar and spices, blend well.

8. Stock

water 2.1 cup (500 ml)

Pour in stock or water. Cook for 30 minutes stirring frequently in an open pot, over the middle heat. It must not be boiling sharply nor weakly. It is important that excessive water is during cooking steamed off and mixture is gradually thickening.

9. Bean, corn

beans 1.1 lb (500 g)  corn sterilized 10.5 oz (300 g)

After 30 minutes add sterilised beans and corn. Cook all together stirrring frequently for another 20 minutes.

10. Chocolate

chocolate 0.5 oz (15 g)

Remove chilli con carne from the flame and at the end melt in 2 cubes of high-grade dark 90% chocolate. Chocolate adds original characteristic taste to the meal, so definitely do not afraid of it.

11. Serving

Serve with fresh crispy baguette, bread, tortillas etc. You can add teaspoon of sour cream or thick white yogurt on the top of chilli con carne.
