Apple-cream cheese strudel with dried plums

     

Recipe for a favorite apple-cream cheese strudel from puff pastry enriched with dry plums.

apples 5 pcs  lemon-juice 1 tsp

Wash apples and use a coarse grater to grate them. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.

cream cheese 40% fat 8.75 oz (250 g)  sugar granulated 2 tbsp  vanilla sugar ¾ oz (24 g)  ground cinnamon ½ tsp  chicken egg 1 pc

Mix to combine cream cheese with sugar, vanilla sugar, ground cinnamon and egg.

puff pastry 9.75 oz (275 g)

Use a rolling pin to spread the puff pastry on a floured board.

4. 

dried plums 15 pcs  unsalted butter 1 oz (25 g)  sugar granulated 1.75 oz (50 g)  breadcrumbs 1.75 oz (50 g)

Spread the prepared cream cheese filling on the puff pasty, lay grated apples on and sprinkle them with sugar and breadcrumbs. Place on top dry plums chopped into small pieces and at last small pieces of butter.

5. 

chicken egg

Roll pastry into the strudel, prick the surface with fork and brush with beaten egg.

6. 

Bake at 355°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes until golden.

7. 

powdered sugar

Sprinkle warm strudel with sifted powdered sugar.
