A recipe of one of the many popular chutneys from Indian cuisine. It is served as a seasoning, thicker sauce with various dishes in the Indian menu.

1. 

apples 10.5 oz (300 g)

Peel apples and grate them into thin slices.

2. 

unsalted butter 0.75 oz (20 g)  ground coriander spice  0.5 tsp  ground Roman caraway spice - jeera 0.5 tsp  fennel seeds spice 1 tsp

Heat the butter in a pot, add the spices (you can grind the fennel), ...

3. 

sugar cane 2.75 oz (80 g)

... apples and sugar. Mix and simmer until soft.

4. 

orange juice 3.25 tbsp (50 ml)

Add orange juice ...

5. 

ground cinnamon 0.5 tsp  chilli pepper 0.5 tsp  ground nutmeg 0.25 tsp  ground cardamom 0.25 tsp

... and the spices.

6. 

grated coconut 0.75 oz (20 g)

Finally, mix in the coconut.
