Red lentils with spinach

    

Lentils with spinach (Palak Dal, Dal Palak), that is great Indian sauce made of small lentils and fresh spinach. It is a delicious, filling and healthy food. Even if you do not prefer Indian cuisine, we guarantee you will like it, just try it.

1. 

red lentil 5.25 oz (150 g)  spice turmeric 0.25 tsp

Put the washed lentils in a pot and add the turmeric.

2. 

water 1.4 cup (320 ml)

Add water and cook until soft.

3. 

fresh spinach leaves 8.75 oz (250 g)

Wash the spinach and chop with wooden spoon.

4. 

unsalted butter 1 oz (30 g)

Melt the butter in a pot.

5. 

ginger-root 0.25 oz (10 g)  garlic 2 cloves

Add cleaned, grated garlic and ginger to the butter. Fry for a while ..

..and add spinach.

7. 

Stew for 5 minutes.

8. 

imalayan salt 1 tsp

Stir the spinach into the cooked lentils and salt.

9. 

unsalted butter 0.75 oz (20 g)  black mustard seed 1 tsp  ground Roman caraway spice - jeera 0.5 tsp  ground coriander spice  0.5 tsp  chilli pepper 0.25 tsp

Melt the butter in a pot, add the spices and heat them.

10. 

lemon 1 pc

Stir in with lemon juice.

11. 

Serve with basmati rice and other delicious Indian dishes.
