Very tasty cabbage salad, not only in Asian cuisine popular. You can serve it to almost all salty main dishes of non-vegetarian as well as vegetarian cuisine.

sugar cane1.5oz40grams
vinegar4tbsp4tablespoon
water1.7cup400milliliters
white cabbage1.8lb800grams

1. 

water 1.7 cup (400 ml)  sugar cane 1.5 oz (40 g)  salt 1 tsp  vinegar 4 tbsp

Bring the water with sugar and salt to a boil. Remove from the heat, add vinegar (it can also be rice vinegar, apple v. is unsuitable - in combination with turmeric it will be bitter) and let it cool.

white cabbage 1.8 lb (800 g)

Cut the cabbage finely.

Peel a carrot, wash it and grate into thin long parts. Add to the cabbage ...

.. and pour boiling water. Drain immediately.

5. 

spice turmeric 0.5 tsp  ground black pepper 0.25 tsp

Add turmeric, black pepper and mix well.

6. 

Pour over with infusion, compress and let rest for 24 hours. You can add vinegar or lemon juice.
