1. Preparing filling

ground poppy seeds 5.75 oz (160 g)  semi skimmed milk 1,5% 10 tbsp (150 ml)  vanilla sugar 1 pc  powdered sugar 4 tbsp  ground cinnamon 1 tsp

We pour a hot milk over the mixed poppy seeds, add vanilla sugar, powder sugar, cinnamon and process until smooth.

Preparing filling

puff pastry 1.1 lb (500 g)  black cherries 10.5 oz (300 g)  cherry jam

We roll out the puff pastry at thickness circa 3-5 mm, we cover it with jam and we top it all with poppy seed filling. We scatter the pitted rasberries.

3. 

Roll out the dough to a rectangle.

4. 

chicken egg 1 pc

Brush the surface of the dough with whisked egg.

5. 

Preheat the oven to 355°F (180°C)-390°F (200°C). Bake the strudels in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the crust is browned.

6. 

powdered sugar

Dust with stiff powder sugar.
