Custard Roll

Recipe for the roll from crunchy puff pastry with sweet custard filling.

1. 

vanilla pudding - powder 1.25 oz (36 g)  semi skimmed milk 1,5% 400 ml  Maple syrup 3 tbsp

Stir the custard powder thoroughly in a small amount of milk. Then add remaining milk and cook the thick custard. Stir in the maple syrup and remove from the heat.

2. 

puff pastry 9.75 oz (275 g)

Use a rolling pin to spread the puff pastry and cut the edges into strips.

3. 

various fruits 3.5 oz (100 g)

Spread half of the custard over the central stripe of dough with the spoon, then fruit and second layer of custard.

4. 

Maple syrup 1 tbsp

Drip the custard with syrup and start to pack into the dough on the edges. Then gradually overlap dough strips from both sides alternately.

5. 

Maple syrup 1 tbsp  almond crisps 1 tbsp

Brush the surface with syrup and sprinkle with almond flakes.

6. 

Bake for 40 minutes at 180 °C.
