Cabbage noodles

Serve either as sweet meal with sugar and cinnamon, or as salty meal with salt and roast bacon. Following meal is neutral, so that both options for serving and consuming are available.

sugar granulated1.5tbsp1.5tablespoon
unsalted butter0.75oz20grams
water1.1cup2.5decilitre
white cabbage1.1lb500grams

 

Recipe

1. Preparation of cabbage

white cabbage 1.1 lb (500 g)

Use thicker side of the kitchen grater to grate the cabbage.

2. 

onion 5.25 oz (150 g)  olive oil 3 tbsp

Peel an onion, chop finely and cook in oil.

3. 

salt 1 tsp  sugar granulated 1.5 tbsp  crushed cumin 1 tsp  ground black pepper 0.5 tsp  water 1.1 cup (250 ml)

Add cabbage, water, salt, sugar, crushed cumin, ground black pepper and braise covered for 15 - 20 minutes while stirring ocassionally.

4. 

pasta - patches 1.1 lb (500 g)  unsalted butter 0.75 oz (20 g)

Cook noodles in slightly salted water. Drain, rinse under running water and pour them back in the pot. Add braised cabbage and butter.

5. 

Stir well.
