Kohlrabi Soup for Children

    

Buttery kohlrabi soup with potatoes and dumplings. Adults like it also when gently salted.

sea salt0.25tsp¼teaspoon
semolina1oz30grams
unsalted butter0.75oz20grams
water1.25quart1.2litre

1. 

kohlrabi 7 oz (200 g)  potatoes 5.25 oz (150 g)

Peel and slice the kohlrabi. Clean potatoes and cut them into small cubes.

2. 

unsalted butter 0.75 oz (20 g)

In a saucepan melt the butter and add kohlrabi. Stir and fry for a few moment.

3. 

sea salt 0.25 tsp  ground caraway 0.5 tsp

Add potatoes, pinch of salt and caraway.

4. 

water 1.25 quart (1200 ml)

Pour on hot water into the sausepan and cook until potatoes soften.

5. 

chicken egg 1 pc  semolina 1 oz (30 g)

Mix semolina with egg and toss pieces of batter into the soup.

6. 

parsley leaves

After dumplings are cooked stir in parsley leaves to your taste.
