puff pastry 1.1 lb (500 g)
Use a rolling pin to spread the puff pastry until it is 3mm thin. Cut it into strips 2 cm wide.
banana 2.6 lb (1200 g)
Peel hard bananas, cut them lengthwise and then in halves. Wrap each piece of banana with puff pastry so that the edges of pastry are covered.
Line baking tin with parchment paper and place in wrapped bananas. Brush them with beaten egg, sprinkle with sugar and ground or finely chopped walnuts. Bake in preheated oven at 430°F (220°C) for about 20 minutes.
Leave the cookies cool and sprinkle them with sifted powdered sugar.
