Fried Mushrooms in Batter
Delicious blowzy mushroom caps served with boiled potatoes and tartar sauce.

semi skimmed milk 1,5% | ¾ | cup | 200 | milliliters |

all-purpose flour / plain flour 7 oz (200 g) • chicken egg 2 pcs • semi skimmed milk 1,5% ¾ cup (200 ml) • salt 0.5 tsp
From the flour, eggs, milk and salt whisk the smooth liquid batter. If the dough is weak add a little flour, if is thick then add milk, a spoon at a time.

mushrooms 10.5 oz (300 g)
Peel the mushrooms and remove the stalks which are set aside. Pour the prepared batter over the mushroom caps and with bigger slotted spoon carefully blend it.

Place mushroom caps, one at a time, with the slotted spoon into the hot oil and fry on all sides for 3-3,5 minutes. Using slotted spoon the blowziness is created around the caps.

Put the mushroom heads firstly with cap down. When you turn it remove them from the flame, because it is swearing. In a flash put it back over the fire and fry further.

Remove the fried mushrooms with the holed laddle on the kitchen towel.

potatoes 1.1 lb (500 g) • pork lard 1 tbsp • chive 2 tbsp
With the mushrooms cook small potatoes as a whole. After cooking, grease them with a little lard and sprinkle with chopped chives.

Finally put mushrooms stalks into the remainig batter, blend well and divide into 3-4 parts. Fry it same way as caps.
