Cut white bread rolls into small pieces, pour them over with milk and let them rest. Put aside ends of the bread rolls - they do not soak up the liquid well. In the meantime, finely chop an onion.
Add to the soaked bread rolls eggs, onion, minced meat, salt, ground black pepper and mix it all well. If necessary thicken it with some breadcrumbs. Form balls, coat them in fine flour and place them on greased baking tin or baking tin lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven at medium heat 40 minutes.
4. Tomato sauce
water 2.1 cup (500 ml) • sugar granulated 2 tbsp • vinegar 3 tbsp • salt 0.5 tsp • bay leaf • tomato paste 2.1 cup (500 ml) • sterilized tomatoes 14 oz (400 g) • corn starch 1 tbsp • water 3.25 tbsp (50 ml)
Bring to boil water with sugar, salt, vinegar and bay leaf. Pour in tomato paste, add finely chopped tomatoes and cook everything together. Mix corn starch or flour and water and pour it into the sauce while stirring constantly. Bring to boil. To your taste season with salt, sugar or add vinegar.
Serve with boiled potatoes.
