Spelt Bread

     

Tasty homemade bread prepared from spelt flour.

1. Starter preparation

water 330 ml  fresh yeast ¾ oz (21 g)  honey  1 tbsp

Pour lightly warm water into the bowl and dissolve half cube of yeast in. Add honey. Blend all together.

2. Powdery mixture

salt 2 tsp  spelt flour 1.1 lb (500 g)  seeds (flaxseeds,sunflower seeds,sesame seeds)

Into a larger bowl sift the flour with handful of seeds to taste. Add salt. Blend.

3. Rising

Pour water with yeast into the powdery mixture, with hand or wooden spoon knead the dough. Let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

4. Baking of bread

Shape the proof dough into the loaf which is placed onto the baking tray covered with baking paper.

Bake in preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) cca 45 minutes. Brush the baked bread with a water, let it cool shortly and wrap into the clean kitchen towel.
