Creamed peas from dried yellow peas

    

Creamed peas are delicious with smoked meat, fried onions and fresh bread.

1. 

logs dried yellow peas 1.1 lb (500 g)

Remove dirt or grit from peas.

2. 

water 1.6 quart (1500 ml)  salt 2 tsp  ground black pepper 0.5 tsp

Put it into a pot, pour with water and wash it couple of times. Finally, add the amout of water as stated and cook peas. Add salt and pepper. Cook until tender, for about 60 min. Dried peas allow us to cook it withou any previous soaking.

semi skimmed milk 1,5% ¾ cup (200 ml)  all-purpose flour / plain flour 1 oz (30 g)  garlic 4 cloves

After cooking, liquidize peas. Stir flour in a milk, add it to the peas and cook it. Add the crushed garlic, season to taste.

4. 

onion  rapeseed oil

Peel the onion, fry it until red. Sprinkle it on the dish before serving.
