Tsatsici is a popular Greek sauce, or salad. It is often served as an appetizer, but also as a side dish to Greek dishes such as souvlaki or gyros.

1. 

english cucumber 1.1 lb (500 g)  salt 0.5 tsp

Wash the cucumber, peel it and grate it coarsely. Add salt, stir and let it rest for an hour.

2. 

Squeeze water out of the cucumber as much as possible.

3. 

lemon-juice  garlic 1 clove

Stir in a little lemon juice and add a clove of peeled, crushed garlic.

4. 

Greek yogurt 7 oz (200 g)  dill

Stir yogurt and dill to cucumber.

5. 

olive oil  ground black pepper

Sprinkle with a little pepper and add olive oil.
