Honey braised cabbage

    

White cabbage with sweet honey flavor is a delicious side dish to the salty roast duck.

1. 

white cabbage 3.1 lb (1400 g)

Wash the cabbage, cut it into quarters, remove core and chop.

2. 

onion 7 oz (200 g)  sunflower oil 2 tbsp (30 ml)  honey  2.75 oz (80 g)

Peel an onion, chop it finely and cook in oil. Add honey.

3. 

salt 1.5 tsp  crushed cumin 1 tsp

Once the honey becomes melted, add cabbage, salt and crushed cumin. Cover and braise until soft while stirring occasionally.

4. 

vinegar 4 tbsp  salt

Add vinegar, perhaps even salt.
