Steamed Buns

    

Puffy sweet buns are favourite delicacy and also source of energy for children and other sweet-toothed.

1. 

fresh yeast 1 oz (25 g)  sugar granulated 1 tbsp  semi skimmed milk 1,5% 6.75 tbsp (100 ml)

Crumble the fresh yeasts into the warm milk with a little sugar inside. Put aside until yeast risen.

2. 

flour medium 1.1 lb (500 g)  semi skimmed milk 1,5% 1.3 cup (300 ml)  sugar granulated 2 tbsp  chicken egg 1 pc  salt  unsalted butter 0.25 oz (10 g)

Sift a flour into a larger bowl, add pinch of salt, egg, remaining sugar, milk and butter. Add starter and knead dough until non sticky. Dust with flour and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

Roll out proof dough on a floured baking board.

Place dollops of jam on dough about 3cm apart. Use thick jam so it holds inside during the steaming.

5. 

Turn over the dough with jam also.

6. 

Then marker individual squares with finger.

7. 

Divide squares with knife and form into the buns.

8. 

Steam buns for 8 to 10 minutes covered.

9. 

After steaming pour melted butter over the buns and to your taste flavour with sweet cocoa, poppy seed, walnuts, cream cheese....
