Apple Cake Pite


Easy and very tasty cake, in autumn and winter times, when fresh apples fall to the ground.

1. Dough prep

all-purpose flour / plain flour 10.5 oz (300 g)  margarine 4.5 oz (130 g)  salt  water 3 tbsp  chicken egg 1 pc  lemon peel  egg yolk  baking powder for gingerbread 1 tsp

To the fine flour add baking powder, grated margarine, salt, egg, lemon zest, vanilla sugar and add adequate amount of water so you get smooth dough. Divide the dough into two halves and place into the cold. Meanwhile prepare the apple filling.

grated apples 10 pcs  powdered sugar 2.5 oz (70 g)  ground cinnamon

Add sugar, cinnamon into the grated apples and mix it. You can add also raisins, walnuts,.... into the filling.

Spread half of dough evenly on the tray, place filling over and cover with other half of dough. Brush the cake with beated egg white and let it bake into the oven for 20 minutes. After baking sprinkle with icing sugar, let it cool and serve.
