Vegetarian food inspired by Indian cuisine. Serve with basmati rice and a delicious pineapple salad with yogurt.

1. 

red onion 1.75 oz (50 g)  carrots 10.5 oz (300 g)

Peel and cut the onion. Clean and wash the carrots.

2. 

logs dried yellow peas 7 oz (200 g)

Put the washed peas into the pot. Add the onion and sliced carrots.

water 1.7 cup (400 ml)  salt 1 tsp

Add water and cook until the peas soften ...

... and until the water will almost absorb.

unsalted butter 1 oz (30 g)  ginger-root 0.25 oz (8 g)  garlic 2 cloves

Peel ginger, garlic and grate them finely. Fry in butter, ...

black mustard seed 0.5 tsp  ground coriander spice  0.5 tsp  chilli pepper 0.25 tsp  spice turmeric 1 tsp

... and add spices. Fry for a short time.

7. 

Stir in the peas with carrots.
