Wash the celery root, peel and cut into the cubes. Cook in salted water for 10 minutes.

Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into the cubes. Add into the celery and cook for further 20 minutes.
Discard the water and add white pepper and a knob of the butter for softening.
Mash it all together until is smooth. You can also use hand blender.
