One of the many recipes for preparing Palak Chawal, a delicious rice with spinach and peanuts. Rice is also suitable as a side dish to non-Indian dishes.

ground coriander spice 0.5tsp½teaspoon
imalayan salt1tsp1teaspoon
roasted peanuts with no salt1.75oz50grams
unsalted butter1tbsp1tablespoon
water2.5cup600milliliters
white basmati rice8.75oz250grams

 

Recipe

1. 

white basmati rice 8.75 oz (250 g)

Wash the rice, put it in a pot, pour water over and let rest for 15 minutes. Strain.

2. 

fresh spinach leaves 5.25 oz (150 g)

Wash the spinach, let drip, chop the leaves or tear it finely.

3. 

unsalted butter 1 tbsp  bay leaf 1 pc  ground coriander spice  0.5 tsp

Fry the bay leaf and coriander briefly on the butter.

4. 

Add and fry rice.

Add spinach....

6. 

water 2.5 cup (600 ml)  imalayan salt 1 tsp

... and water and salt. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

7. 

roasted peanuts with no salt 1.75 oz (50 g)

Add peanuts, cover again and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir.
