Dumplings cooked in a porcelain cup

Unleavened dumplings are very simple prepared side dish. It fits to any good goulash or even sirloin. They are soft, tasty even without yeast. You can cook it in any larger porcelain tea mug. Try it, you will definitely like it.

Recipe

1.

Cut the rolls into small cubes.

2.

Put less than a cup of flour into the bowl.

whole milk 3.5% 0.75 cup  egg yolk 2 pcs  parsley leaves  salt 1 tsp

Mix the egg yolks, chopped parsley and salt in the milk.

Pour the milk to the flour and mix.

Add rolls.

Beat the egg whites until they are foamy.

Add the egg whites into the dough.

Grease two larger cups with fat or butter. Fill up to 3/4 of th cups with the dough.

Put the cups in a pot and pour water up to handle of the cups. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the flame to a minimum and cook under cover for 30 minutes.

Using a wooden skewer inserted into the dumpling, you will find out whether the dumpling is cooked. It is not soft in the middle, and after pulling out the skewer, the dough is firm.

Take the mugs out of the water.

... and tip the dumplings out. If you grased the cups well, it's easy. If necessary, you can use knife.

Cut the warm dumplings with a sharp knife . You get 2 portions of dumplings from one cup. If you use smaller cups, you can divide the dough in three cups.

Serve warm dumplings immediately. You can heat it classically, in a steam.
