Potato and Cheese Sauce

    

Serve the warm sauce with roasted or grilled fish or meat.

semi skimmed milk 1,5%6.75tbsp100milliliters
sweet cream for cooking1.1cup250milliliters
water¾cup2decilitres

1. 

potatoes 14 oz (400 g)  water ¾ cup (200 ml)  salt 1 tsp

Peel potatoes, cut them and cook in the adequate amount of salted water.

2. 

onion 2 oz (60 g)  garlic 1 clove

In a deep pot, cook in oil peeled and chopped onion and garlic. Add cooked potatoes together with water in which they were cooked.

3. 

sweet cream for cooking 1.1 cup (250 ml)

Pour the potatoes over with sweet cream for cooking.

4. 

processed cheese 1.75 oz (50 g)  Hermelin cheese 1.75 oz (50 g)

Add sliced Camembert cheese and processed cheese. Bring to the boil.

5. 

semi skimmed milk 1,5% 6.75 tbsp (100 ml)

Use a hand blender to mix the sauce, pour in milk and again bring to the boil. The sauce contains small pieces of potatoes, onion and cheese. If we want a smooth sauce, we have to strain it through a sieve.
